EMERGENCY staff in Sierra Leone with the AWOL award

This January, EMERGENCY‘s Surgical Center in Goderich, Sierra Leone won the All Works of Life (AWOL) award for “Best Medical Institution in Sierra Leone.” The award, given by Sierra Leone, recognized EMERGENCY for the organization’s positive contribution for the welfare of Sierra Leone and its citizens. After 12 years of intense work, this award acknowledges the many donors, nurses, surgeons, cooks, therapists, gardeners, logisticians, technicians and laboratory workers, whom all helped provide nearly 500,000 civilians in Sierra Leone with high-quality care. Congratulations to all!
