Traveling From Afghanistan to Sudan for a Chance at Life

Image

Thursday, May 29th, 2014 – Masooma, Satara and Naweed are leaving today for Sudan. A plane will take them from Afghanistan to Khartoum, to the EMERGENCY hospital, The Salam Center for Cardiac Surgery where our surgeons will operate on them due to congenital heart malformations. We’re taking them to the Salam Center which opened in 2007, because here they will receive the treatment they need, free of charge.

A relative will be traveling with each of them, plus Youssuf, a nurse from our intensive therapy team in Kabul. We’ll continue to support them after the surgery by providing follow-up care and all of the necessary medicines.
