Each EMERGENCY facility has a garden. It enhances the healing process beyond any physical wound, to include the whole person, that person’s family, and the community in which they live. This reflects a depth of understanding by the people of EMERGENCY that informs their collaborations, designs, construction, staffing and programs in the life-changing units of care they develop throughout the world.
Support for EMERGENCY USA has become a garden for my war-saddened soul: to rest and regain equanimity; strengthened by the possibilities of committed, quality (and beautiful) work; and explore my courage to practice peace. My support of EMERGENCY USA is helping to heal some of my anger about war, making me less warlike, adding peace to this world! I am grateful for this opportunity.
