Today is the start of National Volunteer Week dedicated to inspiring, recognizing and encouraging people to seek out imaginative ways to engage in their communities. EMERGENCY USA is using this week to show our appreciation for our volunteers across the nation and their contributions to our work of promoting human rights and delivering healthcare to those affected by conflict around the world.

Looking forward, volunteers and friends of EMERGENCY USA are hosting some exciting events in 2015:

April 18 – Chicago – War & Peace: Never Ending Wars and Public Health, forum exploring the health consequences of war and how to approach conflict prevention

May 2 – Seattle – Run to Save a Life 5K Run/Walk Fundraiser

May – Bay Area – Kathy Kelly speaking events

May 28 – LA – Deep Melodies One Harmony concert and benefit

July 10-12 – LA – National Volunteer Conference

September – National – Under One Blue Sky 2015, annual kite flying event
